Who We Are
Smart was founded by Marcus Smart in 2003 after highlighting a shortfall in the accountancy market. Marcus Smart (Director) started his career working in larger firms including Haines Watts and Smith Cooper before starting his own practice specialising in providing one-to-one contact with clients, but also incorporating facilities only normally available to larger businesses.
What We Do
Smart specialises in offering a unique postal/upload bookkeeping service at a cost-effective rate by creating our very own data processing center in Bulgaria. Our dedicated and highly knowledgeable professional team has been personally trained by Marcus and our UK staff in UK accountancy, which is then overseen and managed personally by Marcus.
We Are Different To The Rest
We took this process to the next stage by offering all of our client’s monthly management accounts, which has revolutionised how our clients understand their businesses by having the knowledge to make decisions when they need to. Smarts knowledge has given our clients the control of their businesses that is required for making those important everyday decisions.
Many clients have grown their small businesses into everyday success stories, which has led us to be trusted by many high-street brands.
Our Own Software
Smart has also developed our own practice software, giving us the edge of paperless management ready for when making tax digital (MTD) comes into play, client portals, and making the clients experience effortless and easy to use.
